Environment and sustainability

We aim to reduce avoidable environmental impacts in the way we work and deliver consultancy. Decisions should consider the engagement’s needs as well as the resources used

Practical priorities

Our priorities are to avoid unnecessary travel, use equipment responsibly and reduce waste. Remote meetings can be used where they meet the purpose of the work. When travel is needed, consider suitable lower-impact options alongside accessibility, safety and delivery requirements.

Equipment should be maintained, reused where suitable and disposed of through appropriate routes. Confidential data must be protected when devices are reused or recycled. Digital documents and proportionate use of cloud resources can reduce unnecessary duplication and consumption.

Working with clients and suppliers

We will consider relevant environmental requirements when agreeing an engagement and selecting delivery arrangements. Where a buyer requires emissions data, a Carbon Reduction Plan or specific targets, the required scope, baseline and evidence must be established separately.

Accurate environmental claims

We do not present this policy as proof of carbon neutrality, a measured reduction in emissions or environmental certification. Environmental statements should be specific, supportable and clear about the activities and period covered.

A general policy is not a substitute for a contract-specific Carbon Reduction Plan. Any future published targets or emissions results should identify the methodology and evidence used.

Responsibility and improvement

The directors are responsible for reviewing relevant impacts and practical improvements. Employees and partners are encouraged to suggest ways to avoid waste and unnecessary resource use. Questions can be sent to engage@eqsolutions.co.uk.
