Organisational transformation

Change that works
for your organisation

Bring transformation expertise into the decisions, structures and working practices that shape delivery. We support leaders and teams with operating model design, Agile ways of working, prioritisation, coaching and adoption

The challenge we help you solve

Make strategy workable for the people delivering it

Unclear priorities, overloaded teams and slow decisions can hold back change. We look across leadership, portfolio, programme and team practices, then shape improvements around the work and the people affected

Expertise shaped around your environment

Organisational transformation connects a business ambition with the way people make decisions, organise work and learn from delivery. EQ Solutions supports leaders and teams with operating model design, Agile ways of working, coaching and adoption. We begin with the work and the constraints around it, then agree practical changes that people can understand, test and take ownership of. The engagement can focus on one team or connect practices across portfolio, programme and team levels.

Our capabilities

The work behind
the result

Explore the workstreams we can bring into your engagement, from the first assessment through implementation and ownership

01

Operating models and ownership

Clarify how work moves through the organisation and where responsibility sits. A useful operating model makes the relationships between teams, services and decisions understandable, with a practical route for resolving ambiguity.

  • Map the current flow of work and the teams or functions involved
  • Define responsibilities, decision rights and escalation routes
  • Identify gaps or overlaps in service and delivery ownership
  • Shape working agreements and proportionate governance
  • Test the proposed model against representative working scenarios
02

Priorities, demand and capacity

Connect strategy with the choices that leaders and teams make about work. Bring demand, available capacity and dependencies into the same conversation so priorities reflect the organisation's actual constraints.

  • Translate strategic priorities into understandable delivery outcomes
  • Review how new demand is assessed, prioritised and accepted
  • Make capacity assumptions and competing commitments visible
  • Connect portfolio choices with programme and team planning
  • Agree review points where evidence can change the plan
03

Agile practices and team flow

Choose working practices around the nature of the work and the people doing it. We can support Scrum, Kanban and other Agile approaches, while keeping the focus on useful feedback, manageable commitments and the ability to address blockers.

  • Assess planning, delivery, review and feedback practices
  • Clarify work-item ownership and shared definitions of ready and done
  • Review work in progress, blocked work and handovers
  • Facilitate planning, reviews and improvement conversations
  • Test a focused change and review its effect with the team
04

Leadership and delivery coaching

Help leaders and delivery teams work through the decisions behind change. Coaching is grounded in actual priorities, meetings and constraints, rather than a separate set of theoretical practices.

  • Clarify leadership expectations and the decisions teams can own
  • Support prioritisation and realistic commitment conversations
  • Facilitate collaboration across delivery and business stakeholders
  • Coach teams through planning, feedback and difficult trade-offs
  • Build reflection and learning into normal working practices
05

Change and adoption

Plan for the people affected by a new platform, structure or way of working. Agree what is changing, how people will be supported and what evidence will show that the change is being used in practice.

  • Map affected groups, responsibilities and change impacts
  • Shape communications around what each audience needs to understand
  • Plan practical learning, support and feedback routes
  • Define adoption measures with an agreed source and interpretation
  • Keep training completion distinct from observed adoption and outcomes
06

Capability and continuous improvement

Make the changes maintainable by the people who will carry them forward. Combine practical guidance, learning and a visible improvement backlog so the approach can adapt as the organisation learns.

  • Develop team playbooks and practical examples
  • Identify capability needs and shape tailored workshops
  • Agree useful measures and a proportionate reporting cadence
  • Capture improvement actions with ownership and review points
  • Transfer facilitation and review practices to the team

Use evidence and reflection to improve the approach.

Evidence and acceptance

Clear checkpoints
before the next step

Review what has been delivered, the decisions still needed and who will own the result

  1. Agree the change and its boundary

Confirm the challenge, affected groups, business priorities and existing constraints. Record the decisions needed, the sponsors and owners, and what a useful engagement would produce.

  2. Review the approach in practice

Test proposed practices against real work and feedback. Review whether the changes help people decide, deliver and collaborate, and make outstanding constraints or unintended effects visible.

  3. Make continued ownership possible

Agree who maintains the working agreements, measures and improvement backlog. Prepare practical guidance and knowledge transfer, then confirm the next review point and any support still needed.

Discuss this service
How is organisational transformation different from programme delivery?

Organisational transformation focuses on operating models, leadership, working practices and adoption. Programme delivery coordinates the implementation work across roles and systems. They often meet, but the scope and responsibilities should remain clear. We can connect both capabilities where the challenge requires it.

Do you prescribe a particular Agile framework?

We assess the context before recommending practices. Scrum, Kanban and other Agile approaches can be useful, but the objective is to help teams manage work, learn and make decisions. The framework itself is not treated as evidence that the change is working.

Can we begin with one team or a specific problem?

Yes. A focused assessment or pilot can help establish the problem, test a practical change and give the organisation evidence for its next decision. The scope can remain bounded rather than becoming an organisation-wide programme by default.

How do you assess adoption and progress?

We agree measures with the people responsible for the change, including their definitions, sources and limitations. Participation in training, use of a working practice, delivery performance and business outcomes answer different questions and should be reviewed separately.

Can coaching and training be part of the engagement?

Yes. Leadership coaching, team facilitation and practical workshops can support the transformation. The audience, learning needs, activities and handover expectations are agreed as part of the scope.
